This blog started out as an adventure to share the things I have experienced in my life journey. I really enjoyed stretching my imagination and realised that I too was being fed. I didn’t plan for my character’s journey to take six days, that it would spread over forty episodes and become part of a series which I would call “The Journey”.
Throughout I have felt inspired to write the story which I liken to being fed on daily manna. Lel and I have spent hours together working to hone the script to 300 words or less, find a relevant promise of God in the Bible and a question to be considered.
Whatever we do in our lives the Lord loves it when we involve Him. Over the years I have written him daily letters, chatted to Him from personal situations to national ones, and realised the value of that time. In taking up His assignments I’ve grown in my knowledge, faith, trust and love of Him. And this time, I have noticed, just sitting with Him, I have had to say something along the lines of, “Sorry, I am thinking of the story line again, I’m here to spend time with you. I want to know what is on your heart today?” I wait, and the realise I’m thinking again about the storyline.
Around Episode 20 I read this extract from John Paul Jackson book, ‘7 days behind the veil.’ “Creativity is simultaneously humbling and creative. It is profound and yet so simple. It leaves us with a feeling of peace, the knowledge that all is well, and at the same time, we are still anxious, and wonder what others will think of our masterpiece we have just created. All of this is worship. … True worship is creative and every aspect of life is hidden in its folds.”
The time I give the Lord in my life, and in using the gift He has given me to write, He sees as worship and His love, His Spirit, His truth embraces that.
However, in the steps there will be worship songs with a message, one that has touched my life, and I hope you benefit from them as I have. I apologise now for any adverts in the links, and suggest that you line up the song, pause it, read the story, then listen.
I hope you will continue to take up the invitation to His table, and where in embracing His truths, we will together take: ‘The Steps to the Castle’.
“I hear the Lord saying, “I will stay close to you, instructing and guiding you along the pathway for your life. I will advise you along the way and lead you forth with my eyes as your guide. So don’t make it difficult; don’t be stubborn when I take you where you’ve not been before. Don’t make me tug you and pull you along. Just come with me!” Psalm.32:8-9 (The Passion Translation TPT)”
