Jesus leaves as Mary exclaims, “Isn’t He wonderful? And we are thrilled to have nurtured you to this moment.” Wiping your eyes, you wonder why you have been so privileged. “Believe me, we feel much the same. We knew Jesus as our brother, and what we accomplished by loving Him in life, goes far beyond our understanding.”
Joseph pats your shoulder. “We may be Jewish, our expression of ‘church’ different to yours, but born again of God’s Spirit we are one. Peter said it was as if we are living stones being built into a spiritual house, diverse in its structure, but with an assigned place and a purpose for all believers. Even in the world we are given a deposit of our inheritance in Him as an investment. Similar to His ‘talents’ parable, seeking to know and invest in Him and His Kingdom we will grow in every way. You have witnessed the goodness of God. Frequently bring to mind all you have seen and heard. Allow those insights to prepare, encourage and keep you on track for eternity. Be wise where you share such things, and know that in whatever form God’s Word is released it never returns void.”
“Now we need to say ‘goodbye’ until we meet again.” You hug them. Amused, Joseph comments, “Jesus came to give you life, and life abundantly so your transition this time will deliver you into your favourite chair. It was one thing to fall out of bed on to your rear and bang your head, and quite another that your swimming antic caused the duvet to fall off and you nearly froze to death.” Although, choked with emotion, you laugh. Joseph opens a door. “It’s time to meet your family.” Immediately, your now young, grandparents rush towards you, before introducing you to others with a family resemblance.
Read: “In Him you also who have heard the Word of Truth, the glad tidings (Gospel) of your salvation, and have believed in and adhered to and relied on Him, were stamped with the seal of the long-promised Holy Spirit. 14 That [Spirit] is the guarantee of our inheritance [the firstfruits, the pledge and foretaste, the down payment on our heritage], in anticipation of its full redemption and our acquiring [complete] possession of it—to the praise of His glory.” Ephesians 1:13-14 (AMP Classic)
Speak: “Please Lord, I understand about you giving us, talents, gifts and skills. Reveal which ones you have imparted to me, so I can use them for your glory.
