During a busy day meeting people, buying and selling their properties, you have been aware of God’s Presence. Discipleship brings discipline, but you sense God’s hand and favour upon you. Today, you saw both the known and unknown, rich, poor, young and old burdened by their fears and anxieties. If this was a sample of seeing people as He did, it was quite disturbing. To one couple you found yourself saying, ‘Trust the Lord, He knows’. They didn’t respond and you felt awkward, but when they left you asked the Lord to intervene in their circumstances. It was then you realised God was not only restoring the way you think and lead your life, but desires to work through you to touch and affect the lives of others.
You find encouragement in seeing that despite those little foxes in your life, Jehovah aka the Lord has found good fruit in your life to draw on. Walking home you smile considering how Jesus’ disciples weren’t perfect, but God used them. Without question when called by Jesus they followed. With a lack of understanding, they often became impatient and quarrelled among themselves, but Jesus’ knew and His love covered their faults. Throughout His life Jesus’ teaching restored their hearts and began transforming them by His Holy Spirit. After He left they gained experience which allowed them to write amazing letters ensuring His teaching was recorded. Little did they know in the 2lst century people would still be reading and learning from them.
You don’t want your intentions or ambitions in the Lord to sound arrogant or be misconstrued. Yet, you do want to grow and be used by Jesus, so your life will count for Him. You reiterate you request that His restoration process, however painful or difficult, will continue until it is complete. His reply sounds firm and stern, “You don’t know what you are asking!” In knowing everything God does is for your good, you respond with your wish He should get it over and done with. Revelation begins to come in seeing over centuries how people have morphed far from God’s original design. Even in your limited understanding you don’t want to be diverted from His plan and purposes for your life. In bed, you switch off the light and proclaim the Lord is your light and will use you to invade the darkness of others.
