“I hear the Lord saying, “I will stay close to you, instructing and guiding you along the pathway for your life. I will advise you along the way and lead you forth with my eyes as your guide. Step 1 – Day 1

Step 2

“ The Lord brought back the captives to Zion we were like those who dream. (it seemed so unreal) Then our mouths were filled with laughter and our tongues with singing.” Psalm 126:1 (AMP Classic)

Speak: It is so easy Lord to become captives of the society we live in, free me from the wilderness of confusing ideologies. Reveal your truths to me, that I can dare to dream of a new day dawning in my life.

Step 3

Consider: a challenge you have faced. How did you react?

Step 4

“Therefore we do not lose heart…So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:16 &18 (NIV)

Speak: Lord help me not to lose heart when I am faced with the problems of life. Help me to trust in you in every situation. Give me a right attitude so I may experience your peace which takes away my fears.

Step 5

“For all that the world can offer us…none of these things come from the Father, but from the world. This world and its desires are in the process of passing away, but those who love to do the will of God live for ever.” 1 John 2:16-17 (TPT)

Consider: God desires and longs for your friendship. What are you looking for in a heavenly Father?

Step 6

“But I will reveal My name to My people, and they will come to know its power. Then at last they will recognise I am the one who speaks to them.” Isaiah 52:6 (The New Living Translation NLT)

Step 7

Consider: Impulsiveness can be good.   Do you relish, or run from it?

Step 8 -Day 2

“I had to nurse you and feed you with milk, not with the solid food of advance teachings, because you weren’t ready for it…” 1 Corinthians 3:2 (TPT)

Speak: Dear Lord, thank you that your desire is always for us. You are never against us, and in Your eyes, we are all unique. Thank you, if we seek you, you can turn my mistakes to good. Please help me, to recognise and understand Your love, so I daily experience your peace, and in rejoicing in You I will be strengthened.

Step 9

“The Lord looks over us from where He rules in heaven. Gazing into every heart from His lofty dwelling place, He observes all the peoples of the earth. The Creator of our hearts considers and examined every thing we do.” Psalm 33:13-15 (TPT)

Consider: You have probably experienced déjà vu incidents or coincidences have you ever though these could be supernatural, because Jesus was trying to get your attention?

Step 10

“To the fatherless he is a father. To the widow he is a champion friend. And to the lonely he makes them part of a family…” Psalm 68:5 (TPT)

Consider: Who do you call family, and how do you encourage and build them up?

Step 11

“Then those whose lives honoured God got together and talked it over. God saw what they were doing and listened in. A book was opened in God’s Presence and minutes were taken of the meeting, with the names of the God-fearers written down…” Malachi 3:16 (MSG)

Speak: Jesus, I want to know more about you. Please show me where to find your family? I wish to hear their stories about your intervention in their lives and their friendship with you. I need to understand more so I can go from head knowledge of you, to loving you and knowing the desires you have for my life.

Step 12

“The disciples had rowed about halfway across the lake when all of a sudden they caught sight of Jesus walking on top of the waves, coming toward them. The disciples panicked but Jesus called out to them, ‘Don’t be afraid, you know who I am.’ They were relieved to take him in, and the moment Jesus stepped into the boat, they were instantly transported to the other side!” John 6:19-21 (TPT)

Step 13 – Day 3

Step 14

Consider: If you can accept Jesus knows your thoughts, would it affect your actions?

Step 15

“The very moment I call to you for a father’s help the tide of battle turns and my enemies flee. This one thing I know: God is on my side!!” Psalm 56:9 (TPT)

Speak: Thank you Lord for all the opportunities you are giving me to understand the good and positive things in life, that you love me and are helping me build on my knowledge of you. Please help me to always call on you in the midst of my battles and believe you are on my side.

Step 16

“For everyone who listens with an open heart will receive progressively more revelation until he has more than enough…” Matthew 13:12 (TPT)

Consider: How do you process new information, ideas and insights?

Step 17

“These were the true heroes, commended for their faith, yet they lived in hope without receiving the fullness of what was promised them. But now God has invited us to live in something better than what they had – faith’s fullness…!” Hebrews 11:39-40 (TPT)

Consider: Who is the man who is Joseph’s mentor and George’s hero of his faith. Do you have a biblical hero?

Step 19

“In the last days, God says, ‘I will pour out my spirit on all people; you sons and daughter will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams’.” Acts 2:17 (NIV)

Speak: Dear Father God, I am drawn to you, I want to understand more about you, about your Kingdom and the part I have to play on earth today. Please lead and guide me to those who can show me the way forward to gain a heart knowledge of you.

Step 20

“Abandon every display of selfishness. Possess a greater concern that matters to others instead of your own interest.” Philippians 2:4 (TPT)

Consider: How do you respond when you find yourself in an awkward situation, or asked to do something you’d rather not?

Step 21

The Lord says, “…and all who come to me, I will embrace and will never turn them away.” John 6:37 (TPT)

Speak: Father God, thank you for your goodness, love and desire that everyone should come to know you. Please reveal to me everything I put before you, that detracts my thoughts from your way, truth and life.

Step 22

“…’Tell us’, they said, ‘About this new teaching that you are bringing… You are presenting strange and astonishing things to our ears and we want to know what it all means’.”                                                                           Acts 17:19-20 (TPT)

Speak: Lord, please help me to understand more fully what I hear, what I read about you, so I may fulfil your purpose for my life. Please teach me how to talk to you as a friend, but also pray effectively to bring answers and victory in my life and that of those I pray for.

Step 24

Step 25

Consider: The book of Genesis. It tells of the lives of those who lived before Joseph. They were murders, liars, cheats, adulterers, rapists, were incestuous, greedy and foolish, yet despite all this they were loved and used by God to further His purposes on earth.

Step 26 – Day 4

“…it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus. In order in that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed to us in Christ Jesus.”  Ephesians 2:5-7 (NIV)

Step 27

“And this is how we may discern (daily, by experience) that we are coming to know Him (to perceive, recognize and understand, and become better acquainted with Him); if we keep (bear in mind, observe, practice) His teachings (precepts, commandments).” 1 John 2:3 (AMP Classic)

Consider: You may, or may not have made a commitment to the Lord, these are steps to help you get to know Jesus and if you continue to climb them He will meet you at your point of need.

Step 28

“…all the believers in a wonderful harmony, holding everything in common… sold whatever they owned, and pooled their resources so that each person’s need was met.” Acts 2:44-45 (MSG)

Speak: Please Jesus lead me to a people who believe in your Word, having fellowship with others in your family, enjoying the sovereignty of God through worship, acknowledging faith and trust in You, and moving in the revelation of the Holy Spirit.

Step 29

“…but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.” Exodus 20:6 (NIV)

Step 31

“…we proclaim to you what we have seen and heard… so that we may share and enjoy this life together.” 1 John 1:3 (TPT)

Consider: It is crucial to grow and establish your faith in the Lord by interacting with people of like mind.

Step 32 – Day 5

Read: “Jesus said, ‘Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’ John 3:5-8 (NIV)

Consider: When challenged with a question, and unsure of have no answer, how do you respond?

Step 33

“Also, every man to whom God has given riches and possessions, and the power to enjoy them, and to accept his appointed lot, and to rejoice in his toil – this is the gift of God.” Ecclesiastes 5:19 (AMP Classic)

Speak: Lord, as I work, rest and play, please show me how to have a balanced lifestyle.

Step 34

… In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the Lord has planted for His own glory.” Isaiah 61:3 (NIV)

Step 35 – Day 6

Read: “So do not fear, for I am with you: do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10 (NIV)

Speak: Please Lord, whether circumstances repeat or are new to apply your Word to them. And from the lessons learned, to trust you will guide and lead me through.

Step 36

Read: “…(God’s gift) is not a question of human will and human effort, but of God’s mercy. (It depends not on ones own willingness, nor on his strenuous exertion as in running a race, but on God’s having mercy on Him). Romans 9:16 (AMP Classic)

Consider: That everything we have is God’s gift and it is good to be willing to walk in His way and allow Him to strengthen us when we feel weak.

Step 37

Step 38

Step 39

Speak: “Please Lord, reveal to me that I am understand about you giving us, talents, gifts and skills, that reveal which ones you have imparted to me, so I can use them for your glory.

Step 40
